Soon thereafter, she went on to receive her law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While in attendance at Thurgood Marshall, she was on the Dean’s List and also received the prestigious Mickey Leland Fellowship to live for a semester in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., while working for a member of Congress.
