April Holloway has 12 years of litigation experience before immigration judges, administrative law judges, appellate boards and district courts. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, she completed her Master’s Degree in Criminology and Public Administration at Florida State University. During her Master’s Degree, April worked for Leon County as a Jail Population Management Specialist and as a Counselor in the Methadone Clinic. While April completed her Juris Doctorate at Mercer University School of Law, she also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and as a law clerk for the United States Office of the Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia. Immediately after graduation, April went on to work in Insurance Defense/Subrogation where she successfully handled trials, mediations, employer training and settlement negotiations for 6 years. During this time, April also taught, as an adjunct professor, various courses such as Victimology, Juvenile Delinquency and Theories of Criminology. After this, April moved to San Luis Potosi, Mexico where she lived for one year while working for Berlitz Language Academy. While April had an interest in immigration before this move, her experience in Mexico solidified her decision to switch from Insurance Defense to Immigration. April has focused solely on family and victim immigration solutions since that time. Having worked at various firms in the DMV area, April is completely aware of the struggles that some clients find in dealing with large, inconsistent firms. April seeks to remedy that situation by having a small clientele to whom she can deliver honesty, integrity and availability.
