Mass Torts and Veterans Law Amber M. Pang Parra may have our best claim to being a true Warrior for the Injured. That’s because she has a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, competing in worldwide martial arts tournaments and at one point holding the national title for women’s power breaking of wood planks. Amber’s principal focus is mass torts, where she is guided by a desire to help the many low-income and marginalized individuals who are harmed by the carelessness and greed of far too many corporate interests. Many of her clients were injured by using unsafe medical products that they were prescribed by their health practitioners. Many such injured people lack the resources, knowledge or even language skills to assert their rights. That’s where she comes in. Amber has spent her entire career fighting for the underdog Even before earning a JD (and numerous academic honors) at Gonzaga Law School, Amber worked for at-risk and underserved populations. That spirit has carried into Amber’s legal work. She has been honored by many organizations for the hundreds of hours of free legal services she provides to those in need, including the Hawaii State Judiciary Group Meritorious Service Award. Compassionate, Skilled and Relentless Amber illustrates perfectly what Justinian & Associates is all about. We are a smaller firm, but can take on the biggest adversaries because our skills are second to none, and our fierce determination comes from inside us. We don’t give up easily, because we believe in what is right. Amber is no different. Having clerked for Federal and State judges in Hawaii, New Mexico and Texas, Amber is also a skilled and knowledgeable legal operator, who understands how the system works. She also sharpened her strong investigative talents while examining medical claims as a U.S. Army Corps JAG clerk. Many of her clients are military veterans. Amber has stood up against well-funded legal teams defending billion-dollar corporations and walked away victorious, with compensation for her clients’ injuries. She is a recognized leader in her field, chairing advocacy groups, writing articles and training other attorneys. Amber not only fights for her clients, but helps lead the charge. She has served on the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee for the Biomet Metal on Metal Hip Products Liability litigation, helping guide this complex lawsuit on behalf of hundreds of injured victims. In addition, Amber mentors newer personal injury lawyers, especially those from less-represented communities like women and people of color. Amber works out of the San Antonio office, but she is credentialed in many states and the Federal judicial system, and frequently represents clients from across the country.
